There are several different brands and types of salt, and we pretty much had the opportunity to carry whatever we wanted to.  We've chosen to sell only Dura Cube for many reasons.  Here are a few...

1) It's the purest water softner salt on the market.

When you open a bag of Dura Cube, you'll notice that it's like snowflakes (no two are the same).  In order to produce salt that comes in a certain shape, like a pellet or cube, an extra substance has to be added to each piece in order for it to hold it's shape.  Over time, that extra substance accumulates at the bottom of the brine tank and can cause an assortment of problems such as bridging (or worse).  Using a clean, pure salt such as Dura Cube will help avoid these problems.

2) Dura Cube is cost effective.

When you switch to (or continue using) Dura Cube, you will most likely notice that it lasts longer than other brands, and that means you don't have to fill your brine tank as often.  Simply put...You buy less!

3) Longer softener life.

Using a 'less pure' brand of salt in your water softener is like buying an expensive sports car, and then filling it with cheap gas and oil.  You could do it, and it may work fine for awhile, but the overall life and performance of the engine will suffer.  Your water softener can experience the same negative effects unless you keep it clean and free of contaminates.
